The Queen of Love: Saving a people

As one of the founding members, and the director of the Khasi Foundation, Nerola has been trying to address this problem but in vain. Her village is in dire need of a one kilometer embankment. The Thana officer promised to give her 1/5th of the needed one kilometer embankment, but he is yet to fulfill his promise. To add insult to injury, much of her land is being grabbed by non Khasi encroachers.

“We only have the land as a sou
rce of living, “Nerola said mauldlinly “and when this is gone, God only knows what will happen.” Some people say that since the tiger saved her kingdom once, nature will once again come to her rescue some day, and woe be tide those who have grabbed her land!

Whatever her troubles may be, through her exceptional lifestyle, Nerola continues to demonstrate to the rest of the world that, all men, women, children, and creatures of all kinds, are all equal, and they all have a God given right to be loved. In other words, her actions inspire us to ‘love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ It is this that makes her the queen of love.
